New Moon in Taurus May 16th

The moon relaxes in contentment in Taurus, and we can feel the grounding, our body and mind is ready to rest and repair.
After a cycle of running and taking action in Aries, we are ready for ease and simplicity to organize the projects we have started. Now it is time to slow down and notice. Do we need nourishment? Time gathered with loved ones? Healthy, balanced financial structure? More stability? Healing therapies? Or a little of all of it?
Taurus is where we stop to smell the roses and turn inward to see what would help us build a healthy, balanced life going forward.
With Venus as its ruler, we appreciate nature and beauty. Our senses are delighted by fragrant blossoms, softening spring breezes, and more time outdoors.
We can also find ourselves fixated on money and resources. Taurus is an artha sign, so it’s a good time to focus on managing finances and plan for the future.
Just be mindful not to become stuck in the consumer mind of endless desires and accumulation from shopping therapy as this only ends in exhaustion and depletion.
Practice contentment and gratitude for what you have right now. Like cows grazing in green grass under a vast sky, be with your loved ones, share food, enjoy the sunshine, and be grateful for what IS.
This new moon falls before the stars of Krittika Nakshatra, ruled by Lord Agni and situated in the Pleiades.
These are the stars of the seven sisters who incubated Kartikeya (the warrior), showing how the Divine nurtures and grows the most potent parts of us: the sharp light of the intellect, the warrior nature that requires grounding and containment to find its centre. When we purify the mind, we stay centred and can make the most difficult decisions, and meet challenges with clarity rather than reactivity. We know when to be sharp and when to be still.
The planets remain in the grip of the Rahu-Ketu eclipse axis, in one side of the sky. With the intensity this brings, have awareness to stay calm. Use this zeal to finish a project or stabilize your inner world.
And stay tuned: Jupiter moves into its sign of exaltation on June 1 bringing blessings to all the water signs.
