Full Moon in Virgo

Full Moon in VirgoChitra Nakshatra

Currently, we have five planets in Pisces, emphasizing the theme of dissolution, release, as we  let go of old paradigms. This intense Piscean energy can feel disorienting and confusing, making the Virgo Full Moon a grounding force. It highlights the need for practicality, realism, and staying rooted in the present. This is a time to embrace flexibility and openness to change, allowing ourselves to cleanse and release outdated patterns, creating space for new consciousness.

However, this is easier said than done. As creatures of habit, we naturally resist change unless we’ve learned to remain centred — like standing in the eye of the storm, observing the shifts without being swept away by the chaos.

Virgo, as the earthy expression of Mercury, invites us to turn inward and reflect on what is unfolding. Its practical nature reminds us of the importance of creating systems that bring order and structure, enabling life to flow more smoothly. This Full Moon encourages us to ground ourselves in the present moment, simplifying our lives and adapting to the changing environment.

The Moon is influenced by several planets glancing at it from Pisces—Saturn, Venus, Mercury, Rahu— adding layers of complexity to our emotions. Notably, Rahu and Saturn are in a tight conjunction, amplifying the sense of global uncertainty as we navigate the economic rollercoaster and await outcomes. Jupiter thankfully casts a grounding glance from Taurus, helping us to focus on what is really important.

This is the last Full Moon at 29 degrees - a phenomenon that has been occurring for the last 6 months - where each full moon’s location was at the last degree of a sign. It symbolizes transition of our collective consciousness, moving from one stage to the next.

The Nakshatra or star location that this full moon is in, is called Chitra, known as the "star of opportunity" or "the brilliant one." Its symbol is the pearl, representing the beauty that lies within the hard shell of our exterior. Chitra embodies the divine spirit within us, guided by Vishvakarma, the Celestial Architect, who sees the divine essence within the material and shapes it to reveal the true magnificence.

This Full Moon inspires us to bring our artistic talents into physical form. Whether through art, design, sculpture, or any hands-on creation, there’s a call to arrange our surroundings in ways that are both functional and divinely pleasing. Dive deeper into self-discovery, uncovering the true self—the essence within. Embrace this opportunity to reveal your inner pearl and let your brilliance shine.

As the ancient saying goes - if we would like to see world peace, we need to first find peace within.

Blessings

Elise
