New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo

An eclipse is the alignment of the 

 - Earth (our body)

 - Moon (mind)

 - Sun (soul)

During the solar eclipse in Virgo, the light of the sun will be blocked temporarily, allowing our shadowy (unconscious) nature to rise to the surface for transformation. 

Ketu, (South node), will consume the sun and moon during this event with Mercury close by. Ketu indicates an unconscious part of our psyche, connected to the past, where we have been stuck in a repetitive pattern that can now be dissolved.  

The sign of Virgo shows our attitude towards the practical day to day details and tasks in our lives. Ultimately, Virgo teaches us to live in the moment with innocence and purity of mind while taking care of business. But most often, stress and poor habits lead us to resist and resent our chores, bills, health, work etc. 

Notice, has your playfulness turned to seriousness and criticism? If yes, then know you are tired and it is time for a tune up. You can rest and repair in the divine feminine this cycle. 

We are in the season of Navratri where we celebrate the 9 nights of Mother Divine and all  her abundance. It is a powerful time to cleanse and release toxins from the temple of your body. Take time for a gentle detox with light foods, herbs, yoga and meditation. This will give you the deep rest you need.  

We are mostly heavy with mental clutter. Mercury rules our analytical mind and is strong in Virgo to support us. Mercury generates our thoughts and words, which manifest the life around us. With Ketu here, we can release the self limiting language and attachment to our stories that exhausts us. Meditation is the tool for declutterring the mind and the effects are amplified during the eclipse. 

This solar eclipse is in Hasta Nakshatra which is symbolized by the open hand. The map of the universe is in the palm. And don’t we say that all possibilities are “in the palm of your hands”?
